Jacuzzi Marbella

by: John Lewis

Advantages using a modern Jacuzzi in Spain to help provide the solace and relief from the every day stress of today's modern life. One has only to go back to past times and you will see that of all the various and many leisure options available that taking the waters or visiting a Spa and thereby bathing in hot water often using naturally heated water was one of the most important. The name spa comes of course from the natural Hot Spring found at Spa in Belguim.

The Romans clearly one of the main fore fathers of Europe as we know it today new that the beneficial effects of the water was helpful to their general well being. This was in Roman Times a key daily activity for men of every class and indeed for many women. Personal bathing today is considered very much a private activity carried out in ones home but bathing in Roman times was of course very much a communal activity carried out usually in public baths. One has only to see and look at the Roman Baths that survive today to understand that in many ways they resemble the health spas of today although one imagines and hopes that they perhaps they were not so expensive.

The acceptance of this form of communal bathing as the main event in daily life belongs in many ways to the Roman way of doing things and it has to be said that at the very height of the Roman Empire, the term taking the waters or visiting thermal baths embodied the ideal way of urban life in Roman Times. Many Romans were able to set up a bath house in their own town house or especially in their country villas, even heating various rooms or perhaps an independent building built especially for this very purpose. However even these Romans who must have been quite wealthy to be able to afford such luxury would also attend the various facilities available to the public in the various towns and cities that existed at that time throughout the Empire of Rome.

Even so it was very much the case that these small bathhouses, which in many cases may well have been privately owned, were often actually available to the public usually for a fee which was often quite reasonable.

The very large public baths, were, of course, owned by the state and more often than not covered in terms of area the equivalent of what today would be several large city blocks. The fees payable for both types of baths were quite reasonable, and withhin the budget of free Roman males. As the typical Roman workday would start at dawn work was often completed by the early afternoon. About 2:00-3:00 pm, it was the custom that men would visit the baths and often plan to stay for several hours being engaged in sport, bathing, and general conversation, usually after which they would be well rested and relaxed to enjoy dinner. Today whilst you cannot go and enjoy a roman bath in the same way as the Romans you can still get a similar and probably a better form of relaxation that is both Hydro therapy and Hydro massage at the same time from a Hot Tub in Spain or Jacuzzi Style Spa.

The Hydro Therapy mixture of warm soothing water mixed with massage and buoyancy helps to deliver a sensation that relaxes the mind and body, but also helps to soothe and heal.

With the latest American designed jets strategically placed in the Hot Tub for maximum relief and benefit, each & every Hot Tub offers supreme therapeutic support in a restful, relaxing and carefree setting. The Spa treatment Increases blood flow and aids circulation, reducing & relieving muscle strain, soreness, pressure and tension throughout your body. Clearly something that the Romans and indeed those before them like the Greeks were very well aware of.

Why Choose Bunk Beds?

by: Don VanPelt

Any parent faced with the question can give a million reasons, but others might not quite see the clear picture when asked – why bunk beds? What’s so special about these stackable cowboy cots? Thankfully, bunk beds have come out of the bunkhouse and into the home, much to the benefit of parents everywhere.

Others, like college students, have even gotten the message and taken advantage of these flexible furniture workhorses.

Bunks provide the answer to so many problems of families with youngsters that they deserve attention apart from other types of sleep options. What do you do when you didn’t buy a home with an extra bedroom for that new baby? What do you do when you find out your child has adopted a best friend who seems to spend every Friday night at your house? What if you find your child’s floor space growing too small as he grows older? Consider bunk beds.

With so many variations, there is a bunk style to fit whatever problem you might have. The most obvious kind of bunk is the stackable twin bed that we all recognize. These bunks can let two siblings share a bedroom and still have plenty of space to claim as their own. If you have teens whose bedroom space can’t get larger as they do, consider a loft bunk. This type of bunk gets them plenty of space to sleep and makes a cool sitting area underneath as a place to just hang out - or space for a study desk, if need be! There are even bunk bed styles that combine the two types, to maximize the use of one room for two or even more people, for sleeping, clothing storage and studying.

Now, don’t be discouraged at the thought of filling your room with some sort of plain wooden or metal frame beds that looks like it came right out of the ranch bunkhouse. Today’s bunk beds are stylish pieces of furniture, in a wide variety of colors and themes, so you can enjoy all they add to the room. Bunk beds need not be only functional, they can be beautiful as well.

In the case of bunk beds, let form follow function. Do you need more floor space for one person? More kid sleeping space in the same size room? More storage space without building a closet? A guest room without putting guests on the floor? There are many ways to see the options when it comes to these beds, so you can see all types of bunks online or in stores, before you choose the one that solves your space/storage/sleeping problems.

A Loft Bunk is Magic for Crowded Dorm Rooms

by: Don VanPelt

When you hear the phrase “dorm room,” what do you think? Usually there are two reactions – big smiles, or wrinkled-brow frowns. College dorm rooms are the stuff of legend, for cramped space shared by roommates who’ve never met, each bringing everything they can carry from home that they think they MIGHT need. Each student tries to put a houseful of memories into a single room, and still have room to sleep, eat, socialize, and of course, study!

Part of making this huge transition is making this one room work as home base, living room, bedroom, snack kitchen and walk-in closet – fortwo people! Thank goodness then for the loft bunk bed. It must have been invented by a college student. What better tool to transform your dorm into a cool, swinging living room, one that you just happen to live and sleep in? A loft gets your bed up and out of the way, making room for you and your roommate’s STUFF.

Many students meet their roommate first online, and have a chance to chat about the types of appliances, etc. they will bring to the room. Computers, TVs, music systems all need a space, along with books and study tools. Most dorms have a dresser, desk and bed for each student.

Beyond that, they are fairly free to modify. Loft bunks give seating space, room for storage underneath, and allow your sleeping space to remain separate for just that. Some are meant to incorporate a desk into the framework, so that is something to consider. Will your dorm provide one, or should you build it into your loft bunk plan?

Some lofts are meant to be sofas, some are meant to fold out like futons. Choose what suits your needs and your space.

There are dozens of kits and patterns for the best method to build your own loft bed, but they can be purchased already assembled as well. If you want to use the existing bed, consider that; otherwise, you can start from scratch, too.

Add a futon mattress for seating below your loft bunk, and you have a spare bed for a friend if need be. (Maybe add a curtain for privacy?) A word of advice: contact the university your child is planning to attend to see if they have any restrictions about modifications to dorm rooms. Once you have a green light, your imagination is the limit to making your loft bed into a creative living space!
